End Of The Road
Following West Virginia’s 65-61 loss to Cincinnati Thursday night, the Mountaineers (19-9, 8-7 Big East) face a must win situation heading into Sunday’s game at South Florida (8-19, 3-12 Big East).
“We’ve got to get ready to go get South Florida,” said Mountaineer head coach Bob Huggins following Thursday’s game. “We can’t let one (loss) turn into two.”
A win over the Bulls would guarantee the Mountaineers at least a .500 record in league play, with two remaining home games left on the schedule. Sunday’s game will be the second meeting this year between the two schools, with West Virginia pulling out the first contest in Morgantown, 62-59.
