I did not finish with my opinions. OUR OPPONENTS CAN GET AROUND ANY MEMBER OF OUR TEAM IN A PHONE BOOTH! You must play both offense and defense. You must play at both ends of the floor.

We have good material and if we are going to go places in the tournment, we need to work on our defense and offense. We have the ability to win a national title if we wake up. Every player on the team can play better than what they have shown.

When our opponents are playing two good halves, we cannot win playing one good half. WVU does not have a good defensive team. In fact, they are terrible!
We leave the opposing team wide open and uncontested many times.

But the present mountaineer,Rebecca Durst is not the first woman to be a mountaineer. Natalie Tennant, West Virginia’s current Secretary of State was the first female Mountianeer. As a longtime WVU Mountaineer fan I am proud of them both.

I very much believe in women being able to do a man’s job if qualified but there is something wrong with this picture of a woman mountaineer for the mascot. I totally believe the mascot should be male. She just doesn’t fit the mountaineer profile in my opinion and most everyone I have talked to feels the same way. It is just the image of a rugged, rough ole’ mountain man that I think makes our mountaineer legendary.

The ‘eers looked awesome in their first two scores! I saw the game turn when Brown got hit from behind when in the pocket. From that point on he was tentative and threw off his back foot, not planting them and throwing forward, hence, interceptions. The one he threw after WVU intercepted an Auburn pass, when WVU should have scored at least a field goal, was the major turning point. Amazing when you think about it: Take away the Auburn field goal from that interception, give WVU the field goal instead by not throwing the interception, and don’t throw that stupid middle screen again on their last possession giving Auburn a TD, and even with all the other turnovers WVU still wins 33-31! Mullens is so thick-headed, continuing to throw middle screens to a 5′7″ Noel Devine with trees in front of him! And twice! WHy not hand it off to him?! Why not let Brown throw the ball downfield again like he did for the TD?! WHy not teach him how to plant his foot?! Why not give him some pass protection?! Why not stop teaching WVU players how to beat themselves?!
